I have mention on the thread

Smart folder makes others disappear

how that issue presents. Now for an even more curious one. I'm currently evaluating Cyndicate 1.3 (852). I Have a smart folder that reports unread updates. While I am evaluating I am also running Vienna with the same set of Feeds.

I set them both with no unread messages when I went to bed last night. This morning Vienna reports 664 updates, Cyndicate reports 492.

Cyndicate had hung (as described in the other thread.) I quit and restarted it. Again it reported 492.

Ten minutes later it reported 340.

A hour later: it's hung again, and on restart reports 323 updates...

Restart and new fetch brings us to 361 - meanwhile Vienna is at 694

15 minutes later... reporting 339

This figures are reported by the Dock icon, verified by the Smart Album Count and the Inbox Count.

Well my experiment with Cyndicate is ending.

There are too many issues. Feeds are marked read at random, updates are not found and then display issues mean that it simply is not reliable in my usage. The failure of the developers to acknowledge either of my contributions here is underwhelming too.

We acknowledged you via email and asked for more details. You never replied.

We can't reproduce the problems you've listed at all.
